Who this covers
Epton Connections is an HR consultancy run by me, Ashleigh Epton, from Wollongong, NSW. This policy explains how I handle personal information, following the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What I collect
When you contact me through this website, by phone or by email, I collect the details you choose to give me: usually your name, email address, phone number, the name of your business or organisation, and a short description of what you need help with. If we work together, I may also collect information about your organisation and, where the work requires it, about your staff.
How I use it
I use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange our conversation, prepare a proposal, deliver the services we agree on and keep appropriate records. I do not sell or rent personal information, and I do not use it for marketing unless you have asked to hear from me.
Confidentiality of client information
Information you share about your organisation and your people during an engagement is treated as confidential. I use it only for the work you have engaged me to do, and I share it only with your permission, where the law requires it, or where it is needed to deliver the agreed work.
When I share it
I may use trusted service providers, such as email, file storage and website hosting, to run my business. They may store information on servers in Australia or overseas, and they only handle it to provide their service. I may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How I store and protect it
I take reasonable steps to keep personal information secure and to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. I keep it only for as long as I need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct it. Contact me using the details below.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question or a concern about how I have handled your personal information, please contact me first and I will do my best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
